We find 177 objects in their catalog which have the high-est confidence of cluster membership (Bayes Factor≥100) and an
estimated mass below 0.08푀. Of these 119, match within0.′′5of asource in our monitoring data. To verify that matches were sensible,we compared the mean퐽magnitudes of each source in our data tothe푚퐹139푀magnitude in the Robberto et al. (2020) catalog; onlyone source had a difference of more than one magnitude betweenthese two values

In the ONC, we principally rely on \citet{robberto_hst_2020}'s catalog of substellar members, using HST and the 1.4~$\mu$m \ce{H2O} absorption feature which distinguishes the cool atmospheres of young brown dwarfs from warmer, more massive red dwarfs.
